+L'intera infrastruttura di storage di INFN-Pisa si poggia su due tecnologie AFS e GPFS.\\
+**AFS**\\
+La tecnologia AFS è dedicata essenzialmente alla distribuzione del software sui diversi sistemi presenti.\\
+**GPFS**\\
+La tecnologa GPFS è quella utilizzata per la gestione dello spazio disco di tutti gli utenti; è presente un unico filesystem da circa 1.2PB netti. Lo spazio disco sotto GPFS è organizzato in vari fileset che corrispondono a vari gruppi e/o tipi di utilizzo, a ciascun fileset è assegnata una quota. L'area dedicata alle home utente che ha una dotazione complessiva di 11TB.

+The entire infrastructure used for data storage is based on AFS and GPFS technologies.\\

+The AFS technology is used for the distribution of software on different systems.\\
+**GPFS**\\
+The GPFS technology is used for managing disk space for all users, only one filesystem about 1.2PB is available. The disk space is organized in a  filesets that correspond to various groups and or types of use, each fileset is assigned specific quota. The home user's area has total of 11TB.
