===== CSN4 Theoretical Physics Padova Welcome Guide =====

Welcome to the theory group welcome guide! This is a collaborative page in which we collect advice to help new members of our group navigate all the complexities of arriving in Padova. This includes in particular bureaucratic problems, but also general advice on how to solve practical problems and get settled in with the group / Padova / Italy. So far, most of the advice is written from the perspective of non-Italian postdocs, but we'll try to add whatever seems useful.

Please contribute by describing any problems you encounter and sharing how you solved them. Anyone can view what's written here, and with an INFN login, you can edit this page and all subpages. Remember that what you write is public, so please don't write anything that won't be decent to have on an INFN webpage.

One topic not covered here is the hardware available in the group. There exists an unofficial list of currently available hardware (monitors, keyboard, laptops, etc.), but since this website is public, it is probably best not to give a direct link here. Know that the list exists and that you can ask other members of our group (e.g. Philip) for the link.
