Cluster HPC

New HPC Bubble Cluster

If your use case has needs related to parallel computing, i.e. multinode-MPI or needs special computing resources such as Intel Manycore or NVIDIA GPUs, probably you may want to access the CNAF HPC cluster.
The cluster is powerful enough (2.91 PFlop/s) to be placed at the 437th place in the top500 ranking (November 2025).

Compilers and mpi versions

Various version of C/C++, Fortran, CUDA compilers and python are available on all the nodes.

To compile code on the nodes interactively, log into a node using interactive jobs:

bsub -q hpc_int -Is /bin/bash

OLD STUFF:

Requesting Access

To access the cluster you should first obtain an account at CNAF following the procedure you can find at this link.

In the application form specify in the "reason" field that you need to access the HPC cluster.
