5 July Night First start
HV old : 2.2, HV new 2.3; BD HV 1.65 kV; BD is not attenuated. First Beam studies started at ~20:00
Collimator is not used (just the 3cm before the SC). Picture is obtained… PMMA has been removed by Francesco.
First run:: data/run_5jul10_beam1.txt . Slowly getting the BEAM. They are opening the BEAM, with increasing Freq. Started with Less than 1 Hz. QDC Channel 4 on the SCOPE
Second run:: data/run_5jul10_beam2.txt 7 channels (-1 that is curren.ty looked at on the scope) are being attenuated. BD no attenuation. QDC channel 4 and 8 on the scope
Third run:: data/run_5jul10_beam3.txt . All QDC channels connected Channels cannot be attenuated more. They are saturating the QDC. Try to go down with HV. New Chamber 2.1kV , Old CHmb 2.1 kV.
QDC seems broken (20:43). several run beam3 –> beam6 done as study.
Delayed CH 32 about 5 ns to remove time jitter of BD.
Both QDC and SC are not working…. Struggling to see something
Recovered QDC: was going in busy state: needed few read cycles to exit from busy. 23:30 We start to see something again
First Beam Dump reasonable peak: data/run_5jul10_beam13.txt
Start counter is a ~ complete failure: NO signal on QDC [noise ~ + baseline subtracting charge from pedestal]. Time resolution ~3 ns.
00:53 decided to go for a scan of HV of the DCH.
First points 1.6 kV. Chamber is attenuated. Beam dump is not anymore attenuated run_6jul10_beam1 . Attenuated @ 0.5 all the wire chambers to the QDC

Preparing night acq. Threshold Start Counter moved to 30 mV for night acquisition. HV of all the chambers is 2.2 kV. Mixture still 80/20. Attenuate the Beam Dump (only 1 channel). Removed all the attenuators from the NEW chamber signals [chs 8,9,10 of QDC].
Acquired 1.5M events in ~ 3 hours. run_6jul10_allnight with conf_050710_beam2 configuration.
DISCLAIMER
There is a good chance that all the data below that are screwed, due to gas flow problems.
6 July Morning Studies (bad gas)
Started the scans @ high L for the S-T relations measurements: 2 other points at 2.3 and 2.1 kV with 300k events each are foreseen:
data/run_6jul10_stscan2.3.txt : 300k @ 2.3 kV for both chambers.
data/run_6jul10_stscan2.1.txt : 300k @ 2.1 kV for both chambers.
7:55 Raised the thresholds to 70 mV for all the Chambers channels. First scan point @ 2.1 kV

6 July Lunch Studies (bad gas)
Major change of configuration. conf_060710_lunch
Old start counter gets in. [connected in place of the channels 1-2 of New Chamber]
3x3 Scintillator gets in [connected in place of the channel 3 of New Chamber]
New Chamber chs 1-3 are TDC disconnected
Change of the delay of the New start counter. From 250 we go to 200ns each.
Connected Red cables 2,3 to Old start counter. Disc IN/out Chs 7-8.
6 July Damn Gas Studies
After the major change of configuration we restarted to take the night data in steps of 100k evts.
First dataset with GAS OK: run_6jul10_Collim2.3_70mV_regas.txt 100k evts. Run with old+new Start Counter discriminator TH @ 20 mV. One HV Ch (Ch0:: U view of old chamber) is @ 2.2 kV
Second dataset @ 2.2 kV run_6jul10_Collim2.2_70mV_regas.txt . Old+new Start Counter Discriminator Thresholds now are at 30 mV
Second dataset @ 2.1 kV run_6jul10_Collim2.1_70mV_regas.txt . Old+new Start Counter Discriminator Thresholds now are at 15 mV

6 July 3x3 Studies
New Chamber is Turned Off
Triggering on Beam Dump: we see just the events that are not STOPPED by the 3x3. ~60 Hz.
6.5 k events taken in data/run_6jul10_3x3Dumper.txt
Added 3x3 to the trigger: 10k events taken in data/run_6jul10_3x3DumperTrig.txt Too much light
Damped the 3x3 signal by a factor of 4. run_6jul10_3x3DumperTrig_Attx4
Added a 3mm collimator to study the scotch: run_6jul10_3x3DumperTrig_Attx4_Coll3mm
6 July 90° measurement
High rate, triggering on the Beam Dump. [Forget about neutrals we do not have time]
HV chmb old is 2.2 kV
New Chmb has been un-cabled, powered off
Thresholds @ 70 mV …. Config file to be worked out
