Diablo è un cluster di calcolo costituito da 4 macchine ciascuna con 56 Gb di ram e 2 processori (ciascuno da 12 core); conta quindi 96 core di calcolo [[http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Third%20Generation%20Opteron%208356%20-%20OS8356WAL4BGD.html|AMD Opteron 6164 (1,7GHz)]] e collegamento Infiniband QDR gestiti da uno switch [[http://www.mellanox.com/related-docs/prod_ib_switch_systems/PB_IS5025.pdf|Mellanox IS5025]] a 36 porte.
L'utilizzo previsto è quello del calcolo locale riservato ad un gruppo specifico d'utenti.
Gli accessi sono regolati tramite lo scheduler [[http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/technicalcomputing/platformcomputing/products/lsf/|LSF]] nella versione 9
